The Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Studies (CIMAS) of the University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science invites applications for an Assistant Scientist position in NOAA’s Southeast Fisheries Science Center, Miami.

Applicants must have a Ph.D and at least one year of post-doctoral experience in fisheries science, marine science, applied mathematics, environmental science or related fields. Applicants must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and an interest and ability to learn new approaches. The incumbent must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to communicate with a diverse group of people in large collaborative projects. Experience with stock assessment models (e.g. Data-Limited approaches, Surplus Production Models, Stage Structured Models) would also be beneficial, but is not required.
