Position Summary


This position requires the following time and staffing commitment:

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to lead projects relating to work won from the COVID-19 pandemic. The ideal candidate will have led various public assistance projects for clients in relation to the FEMA regulations associated with all aspects of post disaster public assistance, specifically Category B work.

Position Details:

  • Reports to: Managing Director
  • Position Location: Remote w/ occasional travel
  • Position Type: Temporary
  • Compensation: Commensurate with experience
  • Essential Job Functions:

    The candidate will perform the following essential functions:

  • Determines staffing resources for projects
  • Establishes workforce plan for each project
  • Leads kickoff meetings
  • Establishes partnerships with FEMA, government and the Applicant(s)
  • Advises the Applicant on relevant programs relating to Cat B
  • Provides program oversight and expert technical assistance on recovery planning and community development related policies, principles, and procedures
  • Oversees project specialists (public assistance professionals) in PW formulation and creation, client meetings and deliverables
  • Program development from inception as needed
  • Oversees creation of and implementation of policies, procedures and work processes
  • Analyzes and evaluates selected project applications, supporting documentation, and federal agency inspection reports for accuracy and compliance with applicable FEMA policies and procedures
  • Approves time, expenses, and invoices in accordance with FEMA guidelines and company policies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a FEMA, State or Local Public Assistance Officer
  • Prior leadership experience of Public Assistance programs
  • Experience as the senior policy advisor
  • Relevant professional certification (i.e., P.E., CFM, AIA, PCM, PMP)
  • Completion of FEMA/EMI Advanced Professional Series or Professional Development Series, ICS series
  • Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Post graduate degree in and a post graduate degree in emergency management, public policy, urban planning or related subject is desirable
  • Work Schedule:

    This position requires the following time and staffing commitment:

  • 8 hours daily - may have the potential for overtime
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Ability to travel as needed for the client
