ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Job Summary: This position procures new provider services for ChildNet through a public and competitive process, e.g., Requests for Applications (RFA), Request for Proposals (RFP) and Letters of Interest (RLI); evaluates proposed services for demonstrated prior successful experience and research based best practices.


Acts as the program content expert for assigned providers; monitors and facilitates program effectiveness using quantifiable data and input from service providers, consumers and community stakeholders, i.e., enhanced provider performance, documented program outcomes; evaluates services and assess system service needs by:

  • Maintaining flexibility to facilitate timely responses to critical needs and areas of concern relating to client safety and well-being.

  • Receiving, analyzing and processing requests for extensions or amendments of existing contracts and grant applications; provides recommendations for approval or alternative solutions.

  • Managing the activities of the assigned service contracts; provides advice on contractual requirements, responds to inquiries, e.g., purchases of services, administrative and financial policies and procedures, conducts regular visits to contracted sites and meets with contracted service providers.

  • Consulting with and trains service provider staff; verifies that service delivery process is in compliance with legal guidelines, contract principles, ChildNets policies and procedures and Department of Children and Families (DCFs) agreement; promotes the improvement of the quality of their service delivery.

  • Tracking and reporting service provider performance, i.e. outcomes and indicators.

  • Maintaining service provider contract files in accordance with ChildNets policies and procedures and the states records management requirements.

  • Providing advanced knowledge of contract administration trends and the regulatory developments and the laws that govern child welfare federal and state contract administration.

  • Acting as ChildNet's liaison to coordinate communication between ChildNet and provider agency staff and the integration of contracted services and programs; cultivates the relationship of new and existing community based service providers with ChildNet staff.

  • Recognizing, respecting and responding to the unique, culturally-defined needs of others served.

Provides excellent customer service by:

  • Responding timely to communications either from e-mails or phone calls.

  • Handling requests with no more than a one-day turnaround.

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related area of study

One (1) two (2) years Contract Management or Project Management experience with government or non-profit entity

Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook and data entry skills required.

Ability to work with a diverse client population.

Must possess a valid Florida drivers license without any restrictions that would affect job performance.
